Our Story

Thank You Myspace

It all started with an innocent crush on Myspace in 6th grade and a friendship that only extended via flip phone because they were too young to drive a car or tell their parents they wanted to meet up with a stranger from the internet.

Brandon and Tharsis would talk on the phone for hours during that era and continued to be social media friends throughout the years without ever meeting in person.

Years later, Brandon decided to DM her to finally meet. He was enlisted in the army and Tharsis was exploring her early days in college. Their first date was over 12 hours long.

The rest was history.

Do I need a passport?

Yes! Since the wedding will be in Mexico, you will need a passport. Please double check and make sure your passport does not expire within 6 months of your travel dates. It can take up to 3 months for a renewed passport to arrive so please update or apply for a passport immediately.

The nearest airport is Puerto Vallarta, about a 45 minute-1 hour drive from our venue.

Check out the Travel Page for more information.

Am I allowed to bring our kids?

Although we love your little ones, this is an ADULTS ONLY affair. We want you to let loose and have a good time with us. This is about you as much as it is for us.

Am I allowed to bring a plus 1?

Unless otherwise specified when you RSVP, please do not bring an additional guest. Of course we understand that you'll be traveling from far away so if you would like us to consider a plus 1, please just ask. We will try our best to accommodate and hope you understand if it's not possible.

What's the dress code?

Colorful cocktail + formal attire. A balance between elegant and comfortable. We want to see all our guests best dressed and classy as we celebrate this special day!

Do's

  • Have fun and consider participating in our color palette. We are planning a colorful affair consisting of many solid colors to choose from, such as: peach, pink, yellow, lavender, sage-green, baby blue.
  • Ladies: Mid-length or full-length dresses.
  • Gentleman: Business/Smart Casual (ex: linen, crochet, knit-wear, dress shirt button-ups).
  • Shoes - think loafers, oxfords, kitten and block heels, platforms, etc.

Dont's

  • We don't recommend wearing stiletto's. The day will be spent on the lawn of the Hacienda. Grass and stilettos are not a good marriage. :(
  • Please opt out from wearing any color in the white spectrum, save that for the bride :)

Can I take pictures/videos during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony, which means no cellphones. We ask all guests to follow this and be completely present during our special moment. Our hired professionals will be taking the photos and videos during this time. Feel free to take as many photos/videos as you want after the ceremony is complete.

What should I bring to the boat event?

First and foremost, please RSVP to let us know you are coming.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Pack like you are going to the beach. Towels are not provided so please bring your own.
  • It is recommended to bring sandals instead of shoes as they will come off as you board the boat.
  • We would hate to see you sunburnt at our wedding, please bring rub-on sunscreen as spray sunscreen is not allowed on the boat.
  • We will be providing water toy activities, please bring a swim suit.
  • Although not required, if you would like to bring a cash tip for the employees services, they would greatly appreciate it!

What flight should I book if I want to travel with the bride and groom?

Please either text or send us an email at thefrancos2025@gmail.com and we will send you our flight information.

¿Puedo encontrar esta información en español?

Si, por favor mándanos un mensaje de texto o correo electrónico a thefrancos2025@gmail.com

¡Gracias, esperamos verte en Mexico!

What's the weather like?

Daytime, high 70's-80's and Night time, low 70's to mid 60's. For a comfortable evening, please consider bringing a light jacket to wear during the night.

Will there be an open bar at the wedding?

Of course, we will have a mixologist that uses natural ingredients and will be able to make a variety of drinks. Please drink responsibly but enjoy yourself and have a great time!
